When Flooring Becomes Art

Custom Titanium Glitter Flame for an Automotive Museum in Florida

Peter Benjamin was commissioned to create a one-of-a-kind epoxy floor for an automotive museum in Florida—something designed to complement the artistry, performance, and character of the automobiles surrounding it.

Against a deep black epoxy floor, artist Peter Benjamin designed and handcrafted a sweeping flame using titanium glitter, transforming the surface into an extraordinary piece of functional art.

From the initial concept and hand-drawn layout to the precise placement of the titanium glitter and final finish, every part of the artwork was created specifically for this space.

This was not a stencil, a prefabricated design, or something selected from a catalog. It was drawn and created by hand directly on the floor.

At Surface Florida, we do not believe every floor should look the same. We create surfaces with their own identity.

From Artistic Design to Certified Performance

LEED Silver Certified Project • West Palm Beach, Florida

Peter Benjamin was selected to create a custom three-dimensional epoxy flooring system for this commercial project in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Designed to deliver both visual impact and long-term performance, the flooring became an integral part of a project that achieved LEED Silver certification.

Through specialized techniques, detailed layering, custom coloring, and three-dimensional effects, the concrete surface was transformed into an architectural feature designed specifically for its environment.

Surface florida brings craftsmanship, creativity, and experience to specialty residential and commercial surfaces.

When the Runway Becomes the Artwork

Custom Three-Dimensional Epoxy Runway Created for Project Runway

Peter Benjamin was commissioned to create a custom epoxy runway designed to deliver the drama, movement, and visual energy of the Project Runway environment.

The design began as a hand-developed concept built around flowing flames. Each curve was carefully laid out to create movement along the length of the runway, guiding the eye forward while complementing the fashion, lighting, and activity surrounding it.

Against a deep black epoxy surface, Peter Benjamin created sweeping three-dimensional flames with layers of rich gold, amber, and fire-inspired color. The contrast between the reflective black background and the dimensional metallic flames transformed the floor into a dramatic architectural feature.

From the initial layout and hand-drawn design to the layering, coloring, dimensional effects, and final clear finish, every element was created specifically for the runway. This was not a stencil, prefabricated graphic, or design selected from a catalog. It was handcrafted directly on the surface.

The completed runway became more than a floor beneath the production. It became part of the visual experience—reflecting the lights, framing the presentation, and bringing its own energy to the environment.
